Friends –
It’s time to address a pressing issue that directly impacts our livelihoods, economy, and community. Recently, 150 Republicans urged President Joe Biden to rescind a new regulation that would require more trucks to go electric. This regulation is yet another example of the Biden Administration pushing policies that threaten American jobs and drive up the cost of living.

The Impact on Truckers and Our Economy
The trucking industry is the backbone of our economy, responsible for moving goods across the country and ensuring that our shelves are stocked with the products we need. Here in Northern Colorado, many of our neighbors work in this essential industry, and they’re already facing numerous challenges. The Biden Administration’s push to make more trucks electric could be the final straw for many hardworking truckers.
- Job Losses: The transition to electric trucks cannot happen overnight. The cost of electric vehicles is significantly higher than traditional trucks, and many small trucking companies and independent truckers simply cannot afford to make the switch. This could lead to job losses, as businesses struggle to stay afloat under the weight of new regulations.
- Higher Costs for Consumers: The increased costs associated with electric trucks won’t just affect truckers; costs are passed on to all of us. As transportation costs rise, so will the prices of goods. This means that everyday essentials like groceries, clothing, and household items could become more expensive, putting additional strain on already tight household budgets.
- Impact on Small Businesses: Many small businesses rely on affordable trucking services to move their products. With higher transportation costs, these businesses may be forced to raise prices, cut jobs, or even close their doors. This could lead to fewer job opportunities and a weaker economy in our community.
Northern Colorado Voters Have Had Enough
Northern Colorado voters have had enough of policies that hurt our economy and make it harder for families to make ends meet. We need leaders who understand the challenges facing our community and are willing to stand up for American jobs. The Biden Administration’s relentless pursuit of regulations that kill jobs and drive up costs is out of touch with the realities facing everyday Americans.
A Call for New Leadership
As your candidate for the Colorado State Senate, I am committed to fighting for policies that put American jobs first and reduce the cost of living for hardworking families. We need a new generation of leaders who prioritize common-sense solutions that benefit all Americans, not just a select few.
- Supporting the Trucking Industry: I will advocate for policies that support our truckers and ensure they can continue to do their jobs without unnecessary government interference. This includes opposing regulations that would force costly and premature transitions to electric trucks.
- Reducing the Cost of Living: I am committed to implementing policies that lower the cost of living for Northern Colorado families. By reducing unnecessary regulations and promoting economic growth, we can create more jobs and make life more affordable for everyone.
- Putting Northern Colorado First: My focus will always be on the needs of our community. I will work tirelessly to ensure that the voices of Northern Colorado are heard in the State Senate and that our interests are represented at the highest levels of government.
