Our nation witnessed a deeply troubling and heartbreaking event at the July 13 Trump rally, when an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump took place. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families who have been affected by this senseless violence.
Political Violence Must Always Be Condemned
In times like these, it is essential to stand united against any form of political violence. The attempt on former President Trump’s life is not just an attack on an individual but an attack on our democratic values and the principles that bind us as a nation. Regardless of our political differences, violence is never the answer. It undermines the very foundation of our democracy and sows division and fear among us.

As we process the events, we must come together as a community and as a country to reflect on the importance of civil discourse and the peaceful expression of our political beliefs.
